WDC

Tableau offers various connections to files and servers. If a native connector is missing, you can use a Web Data Connector (WDC) to access data via HTTP. A WDC is an HTML file with JavaScript that allows access to data. You can create your own or use an existing one, hosted on a local, domain, or third-party web server.

Extension

The Tableau Parser XML is the data scraping project of the Visualitics TWB Tableau. It allows you to analyze all the information of the project quickly and easily through a custom-built dashboard, allowing the automatic documentation of a Tableau project. It contains all the meta-information of a Tableau project including: data connections, datasources, calculated fields, sets and parameters, sheets, stories and dashboards.

Covid-19

During the lockdown period, the Visualitics team wanted to contribute to allow faster access to the Covid-19 dissemination data. For this reason, we developed an application that allowed users to easily connect to two datasets, one containing data provided by the Italian Civil Protection, the other managed by John Hopkins University.
